Think before you ink

There was a time (not too long ago!) when people might pass judgement on a person wearing tattoos. Things have changed with the popular rise of ‘body-art’ now seeing both mums and daughters adorning their bodies with all manner of decorative art. I still believe celebrities have a lot to answer for when it comes to the inspiration for having a tattoo, especially sportsmen!

That said, a recent poll suggests one in six people dislike their tattoos and as many as half regret getting inked up when they were tanked up! Believe me, when I say there’s nothing worse than seeing your standing rose becoming a wilting flower with age. One patient recently described the small heart on the back of her shoulder as a ‘tramp-stamp’ and while I reserve my own opinion on such matters, I will say many people come with a prevalent reason for their tattoo removal.

Although millions of Britons are getting tattoos I would warn to think before you ink.

P.S. The different colours of tattoos need different wavelengths of laser tattoo removal. We have the 1064nm, 755nm, 694nm, 650nm, 585nm and 532nm Q-switched lasers for the different colours.

We use the most up-to-date lasers here at Aesthetic Beauty Centre.
