Photorejuvenation - Skin pigment abnormality treatment
Thanks to the art and science of cosmetic medicine, it is now easy to achieve smoother and more radiant skin without any invasive surgical intevention. Laser Photorejuvenation is a long established treatment which can quickly and effectively reverse skin pigment abnormalities and textural discrepancies - to produce visibly firmer and smoother skin.
Utilising the power of light as a localised skin treatment, Photorejuvenation is delivered over a series of treatments which have provided consistent results with little downtime unlike other ablative laser treatments. The Aesthetic Beauty Centre is able to offer IPL Photorejuvenation - a non-invasive skin treatment which reverses skin damage and pigment abnormalities without the invasive disruption or visible damage of the skin's surface.
¨ The phenomenon of (IPL) or Intense Pulsed Light can provide a range of skin treatments across the face and body. From skin conditions such as broken capillaries and skin discolouration to age spots, freckles and mottled pigmentation. IPL is also highly effective in reducing facial redness and ´flushing´ that is commonly attributed to conditions such as Rosacea.¨ - Dr Ashish Dutta
How Is (IPL) Intense Pulsed Light Performed?
IPL technology is a revolutionary skin treatment that can remediate a complete range of (benign) skin conditions such as undesired hair growth, birthmarks, facial skin imperfections, thread veins and other general signs of ageing and pigment abnormalities. Photorejuvenation can be used on any skin type or colour and even successfully utilised on the more sensitive areas such as the face, neck, chest, back, hands, arms and legs.
Intense, concentrated light is applied in a series of gentle ´pulses´ over the treatment area. This IPL light then penetrates through the skin and is absorbed by the abnormally dilated vessels or pigmentation, without causing damage to the surrounding areas of healthy skin. Heat from this Photorejuvenation process causes controlled damage to the targeted vessels or lesions which enables the body to activate it’s natural healing process. Over a short period of time, the treated lesions will darken before flaking off or naturally absorbed by the body.
Intense Pulsed Light treatment can be applied as frequently as every three weeks. For the first few treatments, the sensation of light may be a little uncomfortable for some patients and the sensation has been likened to a ´moderate pin prick´ or ´surge of heat´ that lasts for only a few seconds.
IPL Skin treatments using Photorejuvenation usually achieve a high level of patient satisfaction. With a series of treatments with Dr Ashish Dutta and his team, this IPL technology can help patients to restore a more youthful appearance without periods of downtime or prolonged recovery rates associated with more extreme or invasive treatments. Due to the softer nature of the IPL technique, a series of treatment sessions may be recommended to achieve an optimum result; meaning that patients can return to work after the treatments and are able to resume all their daily activities.
The Aesthetic Beauty Centre operates with a fully qualified team of medical professionals; managed by Dr Ashish Dutta (Chief Surgeon) and Wendy Dutta (Chief Aesthetic Nurse) who will discuss the procedure during the initial consultation along with the advantages, benefits and any possible side effects you may experience. All after care advice will also be given.
