Radiesse – Proprietary Wrinkle Filler Treatment

Our skin naturally loses Collagen as part of the ageing process. The depletion of this youth enhancing protein causes skin to develop facial folds and creases to develop. Thinning of the skin can contribute towards facial ageing and the appearance of visible age-lines, especially at the forehead and nasolabial areas.

Thanks to a complete range of anti-ageing and wrinkle reducing treatments, the Aesthetic Beauty Centre can help to naturally enhance your best features, with the application of a dermal filler called Radiesse. This is a durable skin injectable which can be used for wrinkle treatments and other selective dermal fillings. Radiesse is composed of synthetic Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres which are suspended in a translucent gel form carrier. When injected, these micro-spheres provide a ´scaffolding´ onto which the body's own tissue can grow, naturally securing the implant in place.

¨Thanks to non-invasive facial treatments, dermal filler treatments can give instant results with no downtime required. Radiesse (Merz) can be injected into key points to add instant definition and volume beneath the skin. This can help to modestly enhance the forehead and facial contours for up to 8-14 months¨ - Dr Ashish Dutta (Chief Cosmetic Surgeon)

As well as being the primary mineral constituent of bone and tooth, Calcium Hydroxylapatite can also be utilised as a bio-material. This Phosphate has been utilised for over twenty years of applications in the fields of Orthopaedics and Dentistry. This facial treatment is a dermal filler which is synthetically created by suspending the (CaHA) in a common water based carrier.

Radiesse is a wrinkle filling and facial sculpting treatment whose constituents are similar to that of Calcium Phosphate. This treatment has been extensively tested in clinical trials for over the past decade, achieving good efficacy and safety standards.

Radiesse can be used on many different areas of the face, including;

For surgical administration, the application of Radiesse dermal filler is straightforward with a treatment time of around 15-30 minutes. The procedure involves localised injections to the specific areas to be treated. Prior to the injections, local anaesthetic injections or cream may be applied locally to reduce pain and discomfort.

After the filler treatment, all patients can resume their daily normal activities; although others may prefer to wait for 24 hours, as swelling or redness may occur at the sites of the injectables. Depending on the desired result and the area being treated, patients can usually see results that will last between 8-14 months. Please remember that individual results may vary, depending on a number of factors such as age, lifestyle and skin type.

The Aesthetic Beauty Centre operates with a fully qualified team of medical professionals; managed by Dr Ashish Dutta (Chief Surgeon) and Wendy Dutta (Chief Aesthetic Nurse) who will discuss the procedure during the initial consultation alongside the advantages, benefits and any side effects or aftercare that you may require during your anti-ageing wrinkle treatment.
