Until now, most doctors believed that babies’ eyelids were closed until 26 weeks. However this amazing new technology has shown us that babies do in fact open their eyes at just 24 weeks.
This Maternal Bonding scan is “four dimensional” – the fourth dimension being time. This latest technology multiple 2 dimensional ultrasound images, creates a 3 dimensional image and adds the element of time to the process.

The four dimensional ultrasound uses sound waves to look inside the body in exactly the same way as an ordinary two dimensional ultrasound.
