Fat Transfer Cost

Posted by Dr. Ashish Dutta on 3 March 2017

When you are considering a cosmetic procedure to contour your body, cost should never be your ONLY deciding factor as lower cost does not necessarily mean that you'll be getting the same standards or quality of care. Nowadays fat transfer techniques to add volume in different areas of your body is becoming more popular and an accepted choice specially for breast and buttock enhancement.

Fat transfer to breasts cost-

There are other options also available to enhance your breast such as breast augmentation with breast implants, but breast augmentation with fat transfer gives double advantage. Fat transfer is a 2 in 1 cosmetic treatment as in this process removal of stubborn fat is done by VASER liposuction from your problematic donor area(s) leaving those areas sculpted as in a formal liposuction and the same fat cells are injected into the desired area to add volume. Thus you get double advantage without any chance of allergic reaction because the fat cells already belong to your body.

Generally the starting price for fat transfer to Breast ranges from £3,500 -  £4000, but this varies from patient to patient depending on your needs and also depending on the number of areas treated with Liposuction (which is priced at £2000 for one area and £1000 for each additional area).

In case of fat transfer to breasts usually one session will increase your breast size by 1/2 cup to 1 cup. Sometimes, it may require multiple procedure as fat survival is sometimes unpredictable. At the Aesthetic Beauty Centre, each additional session of fat transfer is reduced by 30% of the first one.

If you are desiring a larger size, we would suggest using breast implants, or repeat the fat transfer in about 3 months which will increase your breast size by a further 1/2 cup to 1 cup size.  However, as compared to breast augmentation with implants, fat transfer is usually more expensive because it is a longer procedure and usually requires touch-ups. The advantage with multiple procedures of fat transfer is that you are losing the unwanted fat from the donor area(s) such as abdomen, waistline or thighs.

Fat transfer to buttocks cost -

The donor sites typically used for fat transfer to buttocks are your tummy area, back, and thighs. The cost of fat transfer to buttocks starts from £4000 and goes up to £4500.

Facial fat transfer cost -

Fat transfer to face, Microlipoinjection, Free fat transfer or autologous fat transfer, is a minimally invasive outpatient procedure to restore lost volume to different area of your face. It can also correct acne scars and can enhance your neck by replacing the lost volume. There is no chance of allergic reaction because the fat cells are autologous, and are obtained from your body. The cost for fat transfer to face ranges from £2,500 - £3,500. But in the case of FAMI (Fat Autografting Muscle Injections) which is the only procedure that uses specially designed instruments to place the refined fat into the facial muscle bed, price starts from £5,000.

Cost of Fat Transfer to Penis -

The penis can be thickened through Fat Transfer to Penis. The surgery is known as Fat Transfer to Penis Enlargement Surgery or Penile girth enlargement with Free Fat Transfer ‘FFT’. The cost for the penis enlargement through fat transfer generally starts from £3,500.

In many cases, it may require some additional session as fat survival is unpredictable. At the Aesthetic Beauty Centre, the price is reduced for the additional sessions by 30% of the first one.

The cost can increase if you add areas of liposuction. Most women do well with VASER liposuction from the stomach. For just fat transfer to breast, only a small amount of fat needs to be removed from the stomach. However, if you desire, more liposuction can be done to the stomach to achieve the desired shape.

Thus the components that make up the overall cost of the fat transfer can be summarised as:

  • The surgeon’s fee- A board certified and experienced cosmetic surgeon may charge a slightly higher fee. Fat transfer is a long process, so  be sure your surgeon is trained and experienced in the specific procedure. Thus it is better to pay more for a talented, well experienced surgeon than pay less initially and then have to pay more to get it corrected.

  • The anaesthetist’s fee

  • The hospital facility fee-This can vary if the surgeon is using a CQC registered centre or hospital.

  • Location- The cost may vary according to city or country. Getting the procedure done in foreign countries may seem cheap at first but repeated visits in cases of complications turn out to be far more expensive in the long run.

  • Patient’s individual needs- How much volume (fat cells) does the patient want to add in the desired area.

  • Amount of harvested fat removed and processed

  • Donor area(s) of liposuction- The cost can increase if you add areas of liposuction

  • The liposuction technique used to harvest fat

  • Method used for purification of extracted fat
