Procedures for Dermal Fillers
DERMAL FILLERS
The term ‘Dermal Filler’ is a collective name given to a group of injectible treatments for the correction of wrinkles, folds, scars and depressions in the face. They are made from both man-made and natural materials. Quick to perform and now commonly referred to as ‘lunchtime procedures' most patients return immediately to work after treatment.
The list of Dermal filler treatments can include: sunken cheeks, weak chins, lip enhancement, acne scars, reshaping the nose, deep wrinkles, nasolabial lines, smile lines, scar improvement, aged hands, lip lines, dimples and many more. There are two types of Dermal fillers, permanent and non-permanent with non-permanent being the most proffered. Collagen is the most popular fill in the non-permanent type and is used for filling soft tissues by injection. We always recommend tests to be taken to be sure collagen is compatible with the intended patient. Hyaluronic Acid is another injectible filler used with great success.
