Thanks to advances in technology there are now safe and effective treatments available to diminish Acne scars.

Acne is a far more common skin condition than most people realise, with up to 80% of early teens and twenties suffering. In adults, the figure is around 5%.

Although most people recover from Acne, some are still left with unsightly scars
which can cause embarrassment and stress. For extreme cases, we are now fortunate to have the following Laser and resurfacing treatments which are very effective in correcting and healing the tissue, Microlaser Peel, SmartXide, Exoderm, Fraxel, C02 & Erbium Yag resurfacing and Dermaroller. Micro-Dermabrasion is another effective method of treatment, although we would only recommend the procedure is carried out by professionals who know what there are doing.

You can also help the healing process by avoiding sun exposure and picking at scabs as this interferes with the healing. You should always consult a qualified doctor before deciding on any course of treatment.
